About sussan
Sussan is an Australian women’s fashion retailer,[1] owned and operated by the Sussan Group (ARJ Holdings), who also own and operate Sportsgirl and Suzanne Grae.
Overview of sussan
The first Sussan store opened on Little Collins Street, Melbourne selling lingerie in 1939. By the end of 1951 there were three stores in Little Collins Street, Collins Street and Swanston Street. In 1953, the first two stores opened in Adelaide followed by a Perth store in 1956. During the 1960s, the Sussan range grew beyond traditional lingerie and blouses.
By 1968, their expansion continued with the purchase of Chic Salon from Woolworths, a 94-store lingerie chain operating in Queensland and New South Wales. This acquisition, along with the 60 existing stores in the southern states and Western Australia, made Sussan a national operation.
In 1980, Keith Forster was appointed managing director. He had previously worked as the company’s secretary.[2]
In 1985, the company had 200 stores and an annual turnover of around $100 million. It was owned by John Gandel and Marc Besen, each with a 50% share. That year, John Gandel sold his share in the company to Abraham Goldberg and Leon Lipkies, after Gandel decided to focus on his real estate interests. Goldberg and Lipkies has a pre-existing business relationship with Besen through their “control of Australia’s biggest listed textile company” Entrad Corporation. The three men’s combined shareholding in Entrad amounted to 76% ownership.[2]
In 2003, Naomi Milgrom, the granddaughter of founders Fay and Sam Gandel took control of the group after buying out her parents and siblings.[3]

1. HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?
Shipping is free for online orders over $80 (after any discounts have been applied) or $12.95 for orders under $80.
Shipping is free for gift card only purchases over $50 or $5 for orders under $50.
Please note, VIP Vouchers/Promotional discount codes cannot be used to cover the shipping fee of your online order. Your order must still total $80 after any discounts have been applied to qualify for free shipping.
NEW ZEALAND:
Delivery to New Zealand is free for orders over $100 (after any discounts have been applied) and $30 for orders under $100.
Shipping is free for gift card only purchases over $80 or $5 for orders under $80.
INTERNATIONAL:
For all other international deliveries, we charge a flat rate of $30 AUD.
Sussan ships to the following countries:
Australia, New Zealand, England, Singapore, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vanuatu, United Arab Emirates, Papua New Guinea, Japan, South Africa, Germany, Mauritius.
All international orders are sent via the Australia Post Express Courier International service.
For international orders, delivery will take approximately 7-10 business days. Please note that parcels may also need to be processed through international customs to enter your selected country. We advise you to allow for this possible delay and any extra customs taxes or duties that may be incurred.
We do not deliver to international PO Box addresses.
Our shipping does not cover any international customs duties or sales taxes that may be payable upon delivery.

3. CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
Yes, your order can be tracked. On the day your order is despatched we’ll send you an email which will include a tracking number so you can follow your order through to delivery.
4. WHAT IS AUTHORITY TO LEAVE (ATL)?
If you will not be home to receive the delivery but would like your parcel left, you can select the Authority to Leave (ATL) checkbox at the checkout. This gives the delivery service provider authorisation for your order to be delivered and left at your nominated shipping address without requiring your signature.
Sussan orders will require a signature on delivery and parcels will always be taken to a nearby Post Office if you are not home.
You will receive confirmation that your order has been delivered via email. Sussan will not be held responsible for any theft or damage if you provide us with the authority to leave your parcel at an unattended address. Sussan will not be in the position to offer a replacement or a refund for any lost or damaged goods as a result of you selecting Authority to Leave.
5. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY ORDER HAS NOT ARRIVED YET?
If your order has not arrived within the allocated time, please contact the shipping company, using the reference number supplied to you.
