TBH, These Lucky Brand Jeans Are the Most Comfortable Ones I Own
(Biggest lie I ever told myself.) It wasn’t until recently when I was pulling on a pair of stiff denim, getting ready to return to the office after so many months in sweatpants, that I realized something: I deserve better than this, and that something better is a pair of truly comfortable jeans.
Now, I could go on and speak about the horrors of unforgiving denim and how they’ve wreaked havoc on my body (one word: wedgies), but instead, I’d much rather use this time to highlight the most comfortable pair of jeans I’ve probably ever worn, ever.
Let me introduce you to Lucky Brand’s Easy Rider Jean, a super soft pair of denim featuring a bootcut leg and an easy straight fit. Lucky Brand very kindly sent me them to try, but TBH, they’re so good, I would eagerly buy another pair. And here’s why:
1.They’re incredibly comfortable
I put them through the ultimate test: wearing (and sitting in) them for a full 9-5 workday. And, if I can be honest, I completely forgot I was wearing jeans at all. With most other jeans, I find myself shifting in my seat and constantly adjusting them to avoid or fix a wedgie. But not with these bbs. Constructed with super stretchy, buttery-soft Tencel fabric that’s made from plant fibers, these jeans moved with me and were lightweight enough to feel like a flexible pair of leggings.
2. They have the perfect laid-back fit
I received my regular size; this style is fitted at the hips (without any digging), yet loose throughout the leg. They even feature a slight kick that’s designed to make room for boots (but I love the way these jeans look with sneakers or heels peeking out).
3. They have authentic distressing
The rips and classic blue wash give the jeans a lived-in, vintage look. Y’know, something timeless that’ll stay in style for years.
4. They’re the *perfect* length
I cannot stress to you enough how hard it is finding jeans that aren’t a million miles long on my 5’3 frame. (Ahem, basically all “ankle cut jeans” are just normal jeans on me.) But these Easy Rider ones fit true to size and hit right at my heels. I can wear sneakers (and not trip over myself) as well as heels. Oh, and not to mention, the mid-rise fit is the perfect introduction to the impending low-rise jean trend.
5. They’re superbly on-trend
I’ll admit my heart broke when Gen Z first said skinny jeans are “out”. But they do have a point. Wide-leg jeans are where it’s at, and this Lucky Brand pair fits the bill. I love the flattering boot cut and knowing that this classic silhouette will be in style for years to come.
1.They’re not for skinny jeans lovers
Let’s be clear: These jeans are not meant to fit like any ole pair of skinnies. The Easy Rider has a loose fit all the way through the thighs, which is exactly what I wanted. Personally, I love the look and feel of loose jeans, but if you’re not totally on board with the aughts denim trend, don’t stress. Lucky Brand offers a ton of other cute wide-leg, flared, and bootcut styles so you can find exactly the right pair to ease into it.
The verdict:
At about $119 a pair, the Lucky Brand Easy Rider jeans are an investment, but a pretty reasonable one given how comfortable and flattering the fit is. These just might be a new go-to.
